Shanghai - the Paris of the East, the New York of the West.
During this visit to Shanghai, we stayed at Baron Business Hotel Shanghai located in The Bund area. This hotel located about 30.6km from Shanghai Pudong International Airport and 15.3km from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport. Quite convenient for us to stay here since the location near to the Bund and Nanjing Road, easy to find Muslim food and shopping. :-) Here some pictures of our two bedrooms suites with garden:
The Bund is like an exhibition of buildings. Walking at the west side of the Bund, there are groups of buildings from various architectural styles includes the combination of Eastern and Western style. Sorry, below photos taken while I'm in moving car. You can't expect to see a bunch of building pictures here. :-P
Initially, we plan to visit Yu Yuan Garden, a Chinese garden located beside the City God Temple in the northeast of the Old City of Shanghai. But unfortunately, the operating hours only till 5.30pm and we reached hotel quite late. Therefore, we went to Yuyuan Tourist Mart, the largest retailing area with variety of shops near to Yu Yuan Garden.

We've been there until late night and no more taxi or 'legal' public transport available. We got stranded for few minutes until we decided to get an alternative late-night public transport. See below pictures..... :-) The risk may be fairly low because if there's any suspicious behavior of the driver, we might just jump from that bike. So thrilled huh.?! :-P
Once reached Nanjing Road, we went to the 24 hours convenience shop to get some drinks. Below some pictures at Nanjing Road.

Also, I would like to share pictures of hairy crab from Shanghai and the best time to enjoy hairy crabs is from mid-October onwards. Oh God, this is the best hairy crab dishes I've ever tasted.
The females can be identified by their rounded underbelly, while males have a pointed, V-shaped middle and more leg hair.

Departed from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, we went to Xiamen. Nothing much to say about this 2nd trip to Xiamen. Can see my other post (in progress) about Xiamen.
Anyway, I would like to share our 1 night stay in Pan Pacific Hotel Xiamen. This is our 2nd stay in this hotel. Good location, near to 24 hours convenience shop and KFC. :-)

From Xiamen, we went to Shenzhen. We stayed at Crowne Plaza Hotel & Suites Landmark Shenzhen.

Once we've checked in, we headed off to Dong Men, the busiest shopping center in Shenzhen. But unfortunately, we had an unforgettable experience when my colleague's smartphone (green phone in above picture) was stolen by pick pocket at Dong Men pedestrian shopping district. She only felt a small bump from behind. Not too significant. Then few minutes later when she checked her handbag, the phone already gone. Therefore, please be careful in Shenzhen and don't bring along your passport or credit cards. Just bring enough cash money for shopping.
Anyway, I would like to share some pictures in Dong Men. Below pictures were taken before my friend lost her phone. :'(

A week later, another friend just returned from Shenzhen. Guess what? The same story was played out at Dong Men area there. So be warned, it may not just happened to us. Please be extra careful.
Well, just little story from my last visit to China, but great experience i got!
